??The Jaén Metropolitan Transport Consortium joins the Meep digital platform
??The Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Jaén Area is working on incorporating smart urban mobility data into the Meep urban mobility platform with the aim that users can plan their routes and trips through this application.
?This was announced by the delegate of Development, Territorial Articulation and Housing, Miguel Contreras, after the meeting held with the business developer of Meep, África Aguayo, and the managing director of the Consortium, Sergio López. “Users of the Jaén Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium buses will be able to plan their routes thanks to open transport data,” explained Contreras. The delegate has highlighted "the commitment of the Ministry in facilitating the mobility of the people of Jaen, in this case making it easier for their trips to be organized in the best possible way."
??This integration is part of the Consortium's line of work aimed at having a presence on the greatest number of platforms possible, facilitating access to information and routes for travelers. Miguel Contreras has indicated that, as of this Thursday, the first version of the data is available and sent. To this end, the Consortium has worked together with Meep to integrate its standardized open data GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) providing fares, lines, stops and stations, schedules (in all its variables), arrival and departure times. stops, as well as routes, names and layouts through a cloud of georeferenced position points ordered according to the direction of travel.
??The Spanish startup Meep has deployed its connected digital mobility solutions in more than 25 cities in 7 different countries and has integrated more than 165 mobility operators. The platform is conceived as a digital solution that integrates and connects different transportation services, creating sustainable connected mobility ecosystems. Among its objectives are the promotion of intermodality and the increase in travelers in public transport services. This is a free tool for users to use.
